Experience
Extreme Networks - Associate Technical Support Engineer (Network Support Intern until May 1, 2024)
(August 21, 2021 - Present)
● Wrote Python scripts to automate certain tasks, such as generate MAC authentications on Extreme’s Access
Control Engine for the QA team to test the Samba package update before it was shipped and cycle through smart
PDUs and reset them to factory settings for a future lab move.
● Automated the process of configuring switches using Python to make a Serial or SSH connection to switches to
configure enterprise VOSS and BOSS network switches (ERS/VSP 5400-5500s, 4800s, 7400s, etc.) to be used in
Extreme’s replication lab and streamlined the process of integrating those switches into the lab environment using
Python scripts to automatically get basic functionality on a switch quickly (IP address; web GUI, telnet, and FTP
access; static routes out of the LAN).
● Troubleshot network problems in lab setups using Wireshark and pings to identify misconfigurations and switch
bugs and rectified them.
